One of the main reasons why it`s just the right time for POBEDA gallery is that despite the rapid growth of the art activity, the niche of the contemporary photo gallery is still unoccupied. POBEDA gallery plans to fill this space and develop the reputation as a primary venue for contemporary photography in Moscow. One of the major goals of the gallery is to represent russian photographers all over the world and to illuminate to moscovities the most vivid and interesting pieces of photo art. The programming for the gallery reflects the owners, Nina Gomiashvili and Irina Meglinskaya, taste, independent spirit and appreciation of the so-different photography without any genre limits. The philosophy of the gallery is based on showing the whole range of photography from classic vintage work to contemporary work by emerging artists. POBEDA gallery wishes to establish photography within a wide viewing public, making it more popular and accessible. The gallery exhibition schedule is designed to introduce: David Lachapelle, Bettina Rheims, Ellen von Unwerth, Bruce Weber, Boris Mikhailov, Cindy Sherman, Annie Leibovitz, Martin Parr, Paolo Roversi, Mary Ellen Mark. The owners of the gallery - Nina Gomiashvili and Irna Meglinskaya - have been active in the photography world for many years.

Nina has been a photography collector for many years.
In 1991 Irina Meglinskaya opened the first photo gallery in Russia “Shkola”, which was a real stand out for that time. Now Irina is a photo director of the whole Afisha publishing house. She is one of the best Russian experts in contemporary photography, a jury member of prestigious photo contests “Silver Camera” and “Photoeye”.
